FIGO Fabrics is a wholesale fabric company based out of Vaughan, ON. FIGO produces fabric with a current aesthetic, embracing what’s trendy and modern, catering mainly to modern quilters, sewers and crafters.
MY ROLE: As the graphic designer, I am in charge of branding and all marketing materials, both print and digital. Print materials for marketing and sales reps include shade cards, sampling and look books, as well as packaging, magazine ads and in-store signage. I also create all digital assets such as web banners, thumbnails, social media posts and e-blasts. Lastly, I shoot, edit and retouch all product photography.
LOOK BOOKS
The biggest project I work on every season are FIGO’s seasonal look books. There are three releases every year - Winter, Spring and Fall. These look books are intended for sales reps and for the website. They are used primarily as a marketing tool to showcase new fabric collections and provide project inspiration. I am solely responsible for the creation of the look book, designing each one from the ground up for every release. This includes all fabric photography, layouts, and mocking up all projects (quilts, garments, etc.)
Spreads from FIGO Fabrics Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 Look Books
Digital versions of all FIGO Fabrics look books can be viewed at figofabrics.com. Look books from Fall 2020 onwards were created by me.
SHADE CARDS
Shade cards are 12” x 18” fold-out brochures that are used by sales rep to showcase new collections to quilt shops and fabric stores. In addition to the layout of the shade cards, I color match each collection to the fabric samples before they are sent for final print.
